Plain-language summary: We store what you put into these tools so you can pick up where you left off. Nothing you write here is visible to an employer unless you switch it on. Employers who search the talent pool see an anonymous card — no name, email, or phone — until you either apply to their opening or choose to share your contact details. We don't sell your data, and you can delete it at any time.

Who we are

MPMA Manufacturing Pathways is a program of the Minnesota Precision Manufacturing Association (MPMA), operated on its behalf by VisionOne High Performance Group, Inc. ("VisionOne," "we"). The tools help job seekers explore, train for, and find work in Minnesota precision manufacturing, and help MPMA member employers post openings and connect with candidates.

MPMA is the controller of the information described in this policy. VisionOne High Performance Group, Inc. processes it on MPMA's behalf and does not use it for any other purpose.

What we collect

What employers can and cannot see

By default, employers see nothing

Your workspace — your resumes, journal, goals, assessment results, budget, and the private notes in the checklists — is never visible to any employer, in any circumstance. There is no setting that exposes it.

If you turn on your talent card, employers see it anonymously

Approved MPMA member employers can browse and search opted-in talent cards. They see the display name you chose (for example "Marcus T."), your headline, summary, skills, machines, certifications, shifts, and commute area. They do not see your full name, email address, phone number, or anything else in your workspace. An employer can send you an invitation through the app; you decide whether to respond.

Your contact details are released in exactly two situations

First, when you apply to an opening — that releases your email address to that employer only, so they can reach you. Second, if you tick the box on your talent card to share your email with employers who find you. Nothing else releases it, and you can turn the second one off at any time.

Employers are not told who declined

If you ignore an invitation, the employer sees no notification and no record of a refusal. If you delete your talent card, you disappear from their searches.

Coaches

If you choose to work with a coach and turn on sharing in your profile, that specific coach can view the parts of your workspace you consented to share. Consent is re-checked every time a coach opens your record, so withdrawing it takes effect immediately.

How we use your information

AI processing

To generate results, text you provide is processed by trusted AI services — Anthropic (Claude), Microsoft Azure AI Foundry, and/or OpenAI — under their commercial API terms. These providers do not use your data to train their models in this configuration.

Before anything is sent, we remove what the AI does not need in order to help you:

What we do send is the material that makes the advice yours: the role you want, your skills and certifications, your experience, the shifts and travel that work for you, and your goals.

Where your data is stored

Your workspace is stored in Microsoft Azure (United States), encrypted in transit and at rest. Access is restricted to the service and — with your consent — your coach.

Sharing

We do not sell your personal information or share it for advertising. We share it only with: the AI providers listed above (to run the tools), Microsoft Azure (hosting and email delivery), your coach if you opt in, and MPMA member employers strictly on the terms described above. We may disclose information if required by law.

Your choices & rights

To make any of these requests, email michelle@visiononeperformance.com. Requests are handled by VisionOne High Performance Group, Inc. on MPMA's behalf.

Data retention

We keep your workspace while your account is active. If you request deletion, or your account is inactive for an extended period, we remove your data. Deleting your talent card removes it from employer search immediately; applications you already sent remain with the employers who received them.

Young people

Manufacturing Pathways serves high-school students as well as adults. If you are under 18, please review this policy with a parent or guardian before turning on your talent card or applying to an opening.

Two things work differently for members under 18. Your talent card is subject to the same rules as everyone else's — anonymous until you choose otherwise — and when an AI tool is used, it is told only that the member is under 18, never who they are, so the guidance stays age-appropriate without identifying you.

A parent, guardian, or school may contact us at the address below to ask what is held about a student, or to have it deleted.
